The Day the World Ended
In a world devastated by a wide-scale nuclear war, all that remains are teetering ruins and a handful of scrappy survivors (All with metabolic syndrome). The group includes a weathered rancher (Paul Birch) – who happens to have time for a Ham radio hobby and is handy with a Geiger counter, his lovely daughter (Lori Nelson) who hears things, a tough gangster (Mike Connors) who really needs to learn how to knit, his mouthy striptease woman (Adele Jergens) and a shaken geologist (Richard Denning) who can kick Mr. Tough Gangster’s ASS. This motley crew faces internal and external conflicts as they traverse the treacherous land. Along the way, they are forced to confront a mutated human monster (Paul Blaisdell)
Look! It’s Doc Savage!
This could have been a Twilight Zone Episode.
